Hello, and welcome to my author site. My name is Nick, and I write stories. I wasn't always an avid reader, and like many other people, I preferred to watch mostly TV and the occasional movie. But as I grew older, books began to fill in more of my time and imagination. The written word fascinated me more and more, but never to the extent of wanting to write. I just enjoyed stories more and more, and as I joined the workforce after university, I started to wonder - could I do it as well? 

After reading a few books about crafting stories and what being a writer might entail, I felt something click into place. The ability to write things and cause a real-life reaction from people in a place on the other side of the world sounded like an amazing prospect. And with that prospect in mind, I began the first draft for my debut novel. That was in 2014 when I didn't have a clue what I was doing or how I was going to accomplish it. I just sat down and began to write until I was able to at least catch the attention of an editor. Thankfully luck was on my side and I found an editor that saw potential and offered to help me turn that potential into a work of fiction that could entertain. And here we are, we've reached the present where the debut novel's publication is close at hand, along with one short story I wrote during my other preparations. Both works are in the science fiction genre, but my interests in writing stretch to fantasy, thriller, horror, or even attempts at comedy. For the time being, sci-fi will be the main theme, you, the reader, will experience from my works. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, don't worry, the writing prompts I try to post as much as possible have you covered. As I work my way up to being a decent writer, I'd be delighted to offer you my experimental micro-stories and site exclusive short stories in the hopes they would be to your liking.
